The first step we will take before we answer this question is what we all do when we get a new car. The car you just got may not be brand new. Ascertain the Legitimacy of the Charity Firm
Some charity organizations such as American Red Cross are well known but, this does not mean that they are the only trust worthy organization to donate a car. A lot of other charity firms are equally trust worthy and are doing humanitarian works but, it behooves you the car donor to ascertain if the organization is legitimate if you are in doubt. You can check through your local Business Bureau or search online to determine if the charity organization you want to give your used car to is credible. You want to add value to the lives of the less privileged and would not want to give out your used car to few scammers who are pretending to be charity organizations.
The car you are donating may or may not be in functional condition, the charity organization will take it as it is and either fix it up or sell it as, metal scrap to get more money towards their humanitarian works.
